ABOUT

The “Still Not Asking For It” (SNAFI) project began in 2014. It is a photography and multimedia project designed and created by Rory Banwell.

Rory is an AIPP accredited professional photographer, MEAA accredited journalist, and film maker, based on the Mid North Coast of NSW.

The SNAFI project aims to convey a thought provoking visual message about consent, and the healthy ways it must be obtained. The photos are designed to challenge the status quo of sexual education and understanding of consent, and show the realistic nature of sexual and domestic violence today.

This photo project has been designed to not only empower participants, but to also help survivors in the healing process - whether that be by posing for a photograph, contributing phrases to be included, or by just seeing their experiences represented in the series.

If you have been affected by sexual violence, please contact a support service near you HERE.

If you would like to be involved in the project, please check out the “How can I help?” page.
